My AVON Story

I started my AVON Business last year on April 30th, 2016. I was basically just looking for a way to bring some extra income into my home, even if it was only a few bucks a month. I have been a full-time Stay at Home Mom since 2010. I am a mom of 2 children with Special Needs. My son has Epilepsy and ADHD. My daughter has a rare Craniofacial Syndrome called Cranio Fronto Nasal Dysplasia. As a mom of children with Special Needs such as mine, its not been easy to find a “regular” job that would accommodate the needs of my family (i.e., time off for doctor appointments, surgeries, diagnostic testing, etc.). I needed something that I could work DURING those times. That’s where AVON came in. I was very familiar with AVON because my Grandma sold for about 20 years. I’ve always loved the products, and I knew that a home-party based business was NOT for me. I signed up for $15 (now the Start Up Cost is $25) and thought that I would give it a try and if it didn’t work out, I wouldn’t be out much money anyway. I am now 9 months into my business… and I LOVE what I do! I am still building my business every day… slowly but steadily. I have found that my most major hindrance in my business has been Anxiety and Panic Attacks. I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder, along with Social Anxiety. I LOVE to talk…. ask ANYBODY who knows me well.. but it is an EVERY DAY STRUGGLE for me to get out the door and spontaneously start a conversation with someone I don’t know. It’s hard for me to even just ask if someone would like to see one of my AVON Brochures. My goals are big for 2017…. to make President’s Club ($10,000 in Sales), and to add 5 Representatives to my Team.
